Starting out levels your going to want to spread your points ideally into Sorcery, using cloth gear to/staffs to level. Can throw a point into antithesis for a heal, and one into resurgence and revive if your working with a group. Grab the buffs from defense for now, then get redoubt when its available, trying to run sceptor/shield.

At 50 you will be able to re-spec to the healing gear, in which you will want to gear with Stone Gear Set, or Meadow in a pinch. Also your end game will want a shield, likely the quest one till you have the hasla shield, then a 1 handed club, crafted item, may be expensive if its anything like alpha to aquire. The more +healing on the club the better.
You will want to keep insulating lens up for defense, pop your defense skills in a pinch to keep things off you, and give immunitys.

Scions in pvp can stay alive and self maintain, while keeping your team alive. Sorcery will give you enemys who melee you being frozen, and insultating lens to reduce your damage taken. Assuming you manage a Stone Gear set, you will have high life points, and highers available healing potential.

scion looks a nice class and that Sorcery skillset should be really helpful for leveling but dunno if a healer without auramancy is viable (lower cooldowns + no cast time on Antithesis) probably have to test that

Its not meant for maximized healing effectiveness but the simplistic fact a healer with another toolset will be a swift 2 shot from most high DPS, and this will be as brutal to kill as any tank. Longevity of a healer. As it is not always pve situation where the faster you heal the better optimized, this is a PvP healing build, to be alive at the end of the fight, and hopefully everyone else too.
